What is GurmukhiOCR?
GurmukhiOCR is an online Punjabi OCR / Gurmukhi OCR service. It converts scanned Punjabi PDFs and images into editable Unicode text using Google Cloud Vision.
What am I buying on the pricing page?
You can use free monthly OCR credits, or optionally purchase one-time paid credit packs. Each credit generally covers OCR for one PDF page or one image. Paid credits are added to your account after checkout and do not expire from simple non-use. See pricing.
Can I try the product before paying?
Yes. Sign up, open the dashboard, upload a sample file, run OCR, review text, and export using your free monthly credits. No credit card is required to test the core product.
How are my files processed?
Uploads are stored with your account so you can reopen them. For OCR, a temporary copy may be sent to Google Cloud Vision. Temporary processing objects are cleaned up after the OCR job finishes. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
How long do you keep my uploads?
Files and OCR results stay in your account until you delete them or request deletion. Temporary Google Cloud processing copies used only for OCR are removed after the job completes.
Are files encrypted?
Production website traffic uses HTTPS/TLS. Files are stored with cloud providers (Supabase and Google Cloud) that provide industry-standard transport and provider-managed storage protections. Access in the app requires signing in (and only your chosen collaborators if you share a file).
What is your refund policy?
Paid credit packs may be refundable within 14 days subject to usage limits and the conditions in our Refund Policy.
How do I contact support?

Can I convert a Punjabi PDF to editable text?
Yes. Upload a multi-page PDF, run OCR, review page by page, then export .txt.
Which languages are supported?
Gurmukhi / Punjabi is the primary focus. English and other Google Cloud Vision–supported languages are handled when present in your files.
